There’s a 90% chance that asking any DJ what their favorite turntable is will result in a response of Technics. Hell, there are full guides on the Internet about the best turntables to get… if finding discontinued Technics rigs isn’t something you can do. Well it’s not an issue anymore because Technics is back in the turntable game. Technics just revealed some details and a prototype of their newest creation at IFA in Berlin, but those details don’t reveal price, exact release date or what the arm and interface will look like. What we do know is that it has a coreless stator design, twin rotors, oil impregnated high-precision bearings and a redesigned direct drive motor… oh yeah, and that the prototype is gorgeous.
