Children under 18 years of age are not permitted to stay at Trek Global unless accompanied by a guardian over the age of 18 who is also staying at the property and in the same room. If an entire wing of the property is booked, then minors can be in separate rooms from their guardian, however, the hostel must be contacted directly to arrange this.
Valid photo identification is required at check-in for each guest staying. Valid photo identification that will be accepted is a passport, NZ drivers’ licence, Kiwi Access Card (or HANZ card) and European Identity cards. Student IDs or foreign driving licences will not be accepted as valid. Identification must not be expired, and copies will NOT be accepted.

Pleasant stay. Hostel in decent location. Seemed like a lot of long terms in the hostel, mainly a group of Spanish people on my floor whilst I was staying there. Not much of an atmosphere. A girl I spoke in my room who was long term said you can make friends if you really make the effort in this hostel. Main kitchen seemed very busy, but the one of my floor was a lot quieter thankfully. Always a bathroom free on my floor. Generally the placed seemed pretty clean.

Pros are location is amazing and staff are friendly. Unfortunately there are very few bathrooms per number of guests therefore are constantly occupied and also dirty, even though I did see them cleaned 4 times a day. Rooms are cramped and no windows open to allow air in and were dirty. Lots of long stays and a mix of age groups leading to just no vibe or energy about the place.

Good spot with a kitchen on every level so not as crowded. Has pool table and fusbol and a loung.
