Property Description
“Eastern Comfort Berlin Boat†has a total of 25 cabins in 1st ( large cabins for 2 persons ) and 2nd class categories ( for 1,2,3 or 4 persons), all of which have en-suite bathroom & shower. Except our 5bed dorm with shared shower and toilettes. “Western Comfort Berlin Boat†– located directly beside Eastern – has 18 private 2 & 3-bed cabins, and shared bathroom/shower facilities.
All cabins have two large windows, however Eastern Comfort 2nd class have two portholes in each cabin. Half of our cabins have a river view while the others face the colourful Berlin Wall; waterside cabins are on a first booked basis, and we also do our best to provide a river view for longer stays. Feel free to follow-up with us, but we cannot guarantee the river side.
Services and facilities like breakfast, reception and our lounge are on Eastern Comfort and are of course available to all of our guests.
What’s available on board!
• A unique location between the trendy Freidrichshain & Kreuzberg districts; Clubs, Bars and Restaurants only minutes away
• A friendly, multi-lingual and knowledgeable crew
• Free boat tours during the summer with the Capt’n are offered on some weekends – weather-permitting; ask the crew at check-in
•The Floating Lounge on the upper deck of Eastern Comfort; a great spot to meet people, have a drink, or snack
•Currently there is no Buffet Breakfast available on board
•Bike rental for €12/day
• Coke machine
• Free maps, Berlin infos, and a selection of Berlin magazine/publications
• Free wifi/hot-spot on both boats
• Sheets&Towels for Dormrooms and Western (€5 one-time cost/person) if you forget your sleeping bag
•Smoking areas on all decks (indoors 100% smoke-free)
• Door code allows for 24hr entry for guests
Reception currently open from 12 pm - 18:00pm
• Check-in as of 16:00 p.m. Baggage can be dropped off at reception no earlier than midday
• Check-out 11 a.m. Eastern
• Payment: Cash / Visa / M/C /Bank Transfer / PayPal

Very highly recommend. Super unique, and sitting by the water is so nice. The location/area is perfect. You're literally right in front of the East Side Gallery, so it's touristy enough to feel safe and comfortable, but not too touristy. You can always follow the river to navigate back to the hostel or out to Museum Island.
If you go with reasonable expectations for a hostel on a boat, you'll be satisfied or even pleasantly surprised. You can drink the tap water (they must pipe it in?), the shower is fine,

Have to say I was a little disappointed with my stay here. The location was great and was the best thing in my option. The atmosphere was very disappointing in my opinion. There weren’t many younger people out and about and mainly was just older couples on vacation. Nothing wrong with that just not what I was looking for in a hostel. It was also hard to sleep with a window that could not be closed and loud speakers right outside until 4am.

Better than I expected! Its a boat, so the rooms were small, and as someone 6’4 it wasn’t exactly roomy but it was comfortable enough. Cleanliness was fine; not terrible but not fantastic. However, the atmosphere on board is incredible: comedy shows on the uplands deck, really friendly staff, and I had great roommates! Plus, the location is great for cheap food and its right next to the Berlin Wall!
I will say that the last 50m to walk to the boat is dark, and it can be quite scary at night. I am 6’4 and a
