Hotel Lodi is located in the central area, a few minutes walk from the wonderful Basilica of San Giovanni, the most important and ancient Cathedral of Rome. The Metro C (Lodi Station) is 300m from the Hotel, one stop away from the station of San Giovanni -Metro A- with which you can reach the most important monuments and attractions: the Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain, the Vatican Museums, St. Peter's Square, the Colosseum and the Roman Forum.
Hostel Lodi is an exquisite art-nouveau villa embellished by an enchanting internal private garden for our guests to relax amidst fruit trees, palms and vines. An ideal place to rest, meet other travellers and drink a glass of wine. The area immediately surrounding the Hostel abounds with local pizza places, fresh fruit and vegetables markets, supermarkets and café. In a few minutes on foot you can also find the new and vibrant artistic center of Rome's nightlife, the Pigneto, full of bars, bistros and events.
Free Wi-Fi is available in the rooms and common areas; 2 computers are also available for free in the common room, which includes a selection of books specially dedicated to Rome and Italy.
The multilingual hosts are available 24 hours to provide guests with all the information and useful tips for exploring the Eternal City. Support and guidance for booking tours or purchasing tickets for the many attractions available across Rome is also offered.
Terms and conditions for cancellation and / or modification: We only accept changes or cancellations by email; if they are done 3 days before the day of arrival you will not be charged. After then, for changes or late cancellations, you will be charged (on the card received as collateral) for the first night. In the case of a no-show, you will be charged the full amount of the reservation. Hotel Lodi is authorized to pre-authorize the card.
City tax not included in the price (3 euros per person per night)
The spacious and comfortable accommodations offer private and common areas and are ready to welcome families, couples, friends, singles and groups.
Please note for the dorms we only accept guests up to 50 years old and in case of reservation will be considered as a no-show upon arrival.
The private rooms however have no age limit.
The payment for dorms JUST in cash upon arrival.

Really simple hostel, There is no way to lock the door and you have no privacy in the beds with curtains
But still its more expensive than other hostels, maybe because it is Rome. It was the gjespede stay in Rome we found.
But bed sheets do Get changed every day, which is Nice, and most of the staff was Nice to us. Even got a coffee and a croissant most mornings.

I enjoyed my stay in Hostel Lodi. It definitely gives more of a hotel vibe and can be harder to socialise in as a solo traveller, but the people staying in the dorms were all social. The facilities are older as you would expect from a cheaper hostel but the staff kept them in a good and clean condition. Bed sheets were changed daily which was so nice too. You will need to catch a bus or train to get to the touristy part of Rome but it’s very easy to work out and super cheap. It only takes about 10 minutes too. The garden area of the hostel is also really nice.
The hostel is located in a fairly residential area which makes it feel safe, and there is a staff member at the desk 24/7 too. As a female solo traveller I had one incident that made me feel unsafe, but this was approximately 2km away from the hostel when I was wandering around, the immediate area around the hostel is very safe.
Overall it was a good experience and well worth the price in comparison to other accomodation.
